Q: How do I apply for a City of Paris job?

A: Use the Internet to go to the City of Paris website. Under Employment, click the page for Job Openings. You’ll find a downloadable application which you can completed and returned to Human Resources in person, via the mail, or by photo upload to humanresources@paris.ky.gov,  You may also apply electronically through Indeed.

Q: What if I don’t have a computer or internet access?

A: The City of Paris accepts paper and electronic applications.

  • Use a public computer at a Paris Bourbon County Public library.
  • Come into the City of Paris on the 1st floor of the Municipal Building at 525 High Street, between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday – Friday and request a paper application from the utility window.

Q: I have a criminal record, will that prevent my hire with the City?

A: The City does conduct drug and background screenings on all potential candidates. The City considers each candidate on an individual basis and does not discriminate based upon criminal history.
