The City of Paris was thrilled to welcome the Governor and his staff to Bourbon County on Monday, September 12, 2022, where he awarded the City of Paris a check for $2 M for the movement of the Solid Waste Transfer Station.
The current Solid Waste Transfer Station is located in a residential neighborhood and will be moved to a location that is zoned for Heavy Industrial Use off of Martin Luther King Blvd on property owned by the Bourbon County Fiscal Court. The project will consist of road improvements, water and sewer infrastructure, and a building to be used as a solid waste transfer station and recycling convenience center.
