Activations are announced on City social media and by the event host. Not sure? Call the ABC Administrator at <a href=\"tel:+18599872110\">(859) 987-2110<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 id=\"ed-rules\" style=\"font-size:1.25rem;margin-top:1.2rem\">Hours &amp; Essential Rules<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ed-rules\">\n<div class=\"ed-rule\"><h4>When<\/h4><p>Only during City-approved events, at the hours the City sets for each event. When the district isn't active, drinks can't leave the business where you bought them.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-rule\"><h4>Age<\/h4><p>You must be 21 or older with a valid ID to buy or possess alcohol in the district.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-rule\"><h4>The cup<\/h4><p>Carry your drink in a clear, City-approved district cup marked with the vendor. Cups are single-use and good only for the event where they were issued.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-rule\"><h4>Where you can go<\/h4><p>Common areas inside the boundary, and other participating businesses. Look for the ED Friendly window sticker.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-rule ed-no\"><h4>Businesses that opt out<\/h4><p>If a business posts a \"No Beverages Allowed\" sign, it isn't participating. Don't bring your drink inside.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-rule ed-no\"><h4>The boundary<\/h4><p>Don't leave the district with alcohol. Patrons who do may be cited or arrested.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-dd\">\n<div class=\"ed-do\"><h4>Do<\/h4><ul><li>Buy drinks only from participating businesses.<\/li><li>Use the clear, City-approved district cup.<\/li><li>Enjoy shopping, dining, and events. Families and non-drinkers are welcome.<\/li><li>Throw cups away in trash or recycling bins.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"ed-dont\"><h4>Don't<\/h4><ul><li>Bring your own alcohol or outside drinks, including cans and glass bottles.<\/li><li>Refill or reuse a cup from a past event.<\/li><li>Cross the district boundary with alcohol.<\/li><li>Ignore signs at businesses that don't participate.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"margin-top:.8rem;font-size:.93rem\">Paris Police and\/or security staff monitor the district during active events.<\/p>\n\n<h3 id=\"ed-where\" style=\"font-size:1.25rem;margin-top:1.4rem\">Participating Businesses<\/h3>\n<p>Participating businesses display a City-provided ED Friendly sign at every public entrance and where drinks are sold. The district is Paris's official Entertainment Destination Center (EDC), established by City Ordinance 2024-35 and licensed by the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"ed-steps\">\n<li><strong>Confirm eligibility<\/strong>Your business is inside the district and holds the proper Kentucky alcohol licenses.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Review the guide and ordinance<\/strong>Read the Business Participation Guide and City Code \u00a7 62.200 and following.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit the application<\/strong>Return the Participation Application to the City of Paris, 525 High Street.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sign the agreement<\/strong>Every participating business signs a Participation Agreement with the City.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Train staff and post signs<\/strong>Train employees on district rules and keep training records. Post the City-provided sign at every public entrance and sales point.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Serve in approved cups<\/strong>Use clear district cups marked with your vendor ID, and check IDs for everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-top:.8rem;font-size:.93rem\"><strong>Not participating?<\/strong> Notify the City and post the Non-Participant Notice. The agreement stays in effect until either side ends it in writing.
